The Importance of Women’s ERGs
About This Webinar:
Originally Recorded: March 16, 2022, 1:00 PM Eastern Time
Speaker: Dr. Jackie Merkle, Diversity, Inclusion & Community Relations Consultant for Grange Insurance
The POWER and POTENTIAL of women in the workplace can be accelerated and positively impacted by women’s employee resource groups (ERGs) and business resource groups (BRGs).
Women’s ERGs empower their members, work toward dismantling barriers within their organization and industry and increase visibility of women in the workplace. They can impact gender equity or parity, play a role as strategic business partners for the organizations they serve and how they continue to develop new female leaders. These groups can also be leveraged to help educate their male colleagues on the challenges that women face in today’s workplace and partner with other ERGs and BRGs to help overcome them.
In this educational webinar we will discuss:
- The skill set needed to lead an ERG
- How ERGs can prepare women for leadership roles
- Why women’s ERGs are critical in the workplace
- Best practices to recruit and retain women in ERGs
