Global ERG Network Honors 2025 GEN IMPACT Award Winners and Unveils Vision for 2026 Virtual Summit

[Greensboro, NC – November 13, 2025]

The Global ERG Network® (GEN) has announced the rankings of the winners of the 2025 GEN IMPACT Awards, recognizing outstanding impacts from organizations and their Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Councils, and Executive Sponsors.

The awards were presented during the 2025 GEN Conference in Tucson, Arizona, where attendees from more than 50 organizations across industries came together for learning, connection, and collaboration under the theme “The ERG & Council Evolution: From Advocacy to Impact.”

“These groups redefine what impact and engagement looks like inside organizations,” said Anna Ettin, Executive Officer of Innovation and Generational Transformation at Tapestry Partner Solutions (TPS), which powers GEN. “They’re doing more than hosting events—they’re building systems that drive innovation, retention, and measurable business results.”

The 2026 GEN IMPACT Awards applications will open on March 1, 2026.

Brand Evolution: A Blueprint for Sustainable, People-Powered Change

GEN introduced its refreshed brand identity and redesigned website, reflecting a modernized vision for how organizations can architect long-term cultural and structural change through their ERGs.

The new visual identity centers human-form iconography within the wordmark symbolizing the ERG leaders driving transformation from within, and anchors GEN’s expanded suite of offerings. These include the GEN Co//Lab, a digital hub of practical tools, templates, micro-learnings, and resources, and Expert Services and Consulting. When the clock is ticking and the pressure’s on, organizations need clarity, insights, and action. The GEN Team partners with clients to build smart, strategic solutions that move fast and land with impact.

Looking Ahead: The ERG Advantage Virtual Summit

What if the strongest tool for shaping the workforce of the future is already inside your organization?

The 2026 GEN Virtual Summit will dive deep into how ERGs serve as the strategic advantage that fuels belonging, strengthens culture, and builds tomorrow’s leaders.

The event expands beyond ERG leadership to offer professional development for ERG members. Designed to complement internal learning programs, the Virtual Summit connects individual growth with organizational impact—bringing industry expertise to strengthen communication, collaboration, and leadership skills across the workforce.

“The future of work will belong to those who see talent as a living system—not a hierarchy,” noted Monica Brunache, Executive Officer of Organizational and Employee Strategy at TPS. “The Summit is about harnessing that system: the people, networks, and ideas already within your walls. When organizations elevate ERGs and equip every employee to lead from where they are, they strengthen their foundation for sustainable growth.”

The event will feature dynamic tracks:

  • Experience into Impact – Linking human experiences to organizational success.
  • Retention by Design – Building workplaces people choose to stay in.
  • Leaders Are Grown, Not Hired – Activating ERGs as an invaluable leadership pipeline.
  • Engagement That Delivers – Maximizing the connections which create momentum.

The 2026 GEN Virtual Summit brings together forward-thinking HR, business, and ERG leaders along with their members to reimagine what’s possible when talent strategy and human connection work in concert. Registration is open, with Super Early Bird pricing through December 2. Bulk tickets and sponsorship packages are available.

Global ERG Network Announces the 2026 GEN IMPACT Award Winners—Honoring Employee Groups and Councils Driving Business Results

[WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., August 3, 2026]

The Global ERG Network® (GEN) is proud to announce the winners of the 2026 GEN IMPACT Awards, recognizing Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Councils, and Executive Sponsors that are making meaningful impacts and delivering measurable organizational outcomes across industries.

Selected from hundreds of submissions, this year’s honorees were evaluated on their ability to Innovate, Measure, Progress, Activate, Collaborate, and Transform (IMPACT)—reflecting the strategic contributions ERGs and Councils make for individuals, organizations, and communities, such as deepening cultural resilience, strengthening retention, and building talent pipelines.

“When employee groups are genuinely wired into the heart of a business, incredible things happen,” said Monica Brunache, Executive Officer of Organizational and Employee Strategy at Tapestry Partner Solutions, which powers GEN. “This year’s winners are growing future leaders, spotting what their people actually need, and keeping everyone grounded through tough times. The GEN IMPACT Awards are all about celebrating that real-world impact and the hard work behind it.”

“It’s inspiring to see companies back their people with real resources, leadership support, and a seat at the strategy table,” added Anna Ettin, Executive Officer of Innovation and Generational Transformation. “This year’s award recipients show us exactly what’s possible when you make that kind of commitment.”

Award recipients will be celebrated at the 2026 GEN Conference in Charlotte, NC from November 10 – 11, 2026. The conference, Human API: Connecting ERGs and Councils to the Corporate OS, brings together a global audience of ERG, HR, and business leaders to focus on integrating the impacts of trust-dense employee groups with how their organizations operate. Sessions provide strategic insights while prioritizing action and sustainable practices for attendees from across industries.

Alongside award announcements, applications open this week for the GENC Access Fellowship, a new program bringing ERG and Inclusion Council leaders from small nonprofits to the GEN Annual Conference. As the cost of leadership development is a genuine barrier in many organizations, GEN will select a cohort of leaders each year to attend the conference and gain access to the GEN Co//Lab, GEN’s resource and learning hub. Applications for the 2026 cohort are open through mid-September; Fellows will be notified in early October.

The November awards gala will include the rankings for Top 3 ERGs & Councils in five impact categories, Top 10 Enterprise-Wide ERGs & Councils reflecting broad organizational impacts, and recognition of the Executive Sponsors of the Year. The full list of 2026 GEN IMPACT Award winners in alphabetical order is available on the GEN website.

“With many newcomers to this year’s Diversity Impact Awards®, we continue to see these groups push the envelope in an effort to increase their impact and effectiveness through their DEI initiatives. Their results show the valuable outcomes that are achieved when they’re aligned with the business strategy of the organizations they serve and are recognized as key business partners. Each year we are inspired by all of our applicants and their work to build a true sense of belonging within their organizations through DEI.” says Cile Johnson, Chief Business Officer.

Greensboro, NC (September 29, 2022) — Talent Dimensions and the Global ERG Network (previously the Association of ERGs & Councils) recognized the outstanding achievements of Employee Resource Groups, Diversity Councils and other DE&I initiatives at the 2022 Diversity Impact Awards ceremony at the Global ERG Summit (previously the ERG & Council Conference) at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida.

“It was wonderful to finally be back in person after the last two years of our virtual existence. The energy at the Summit was amazing, and it was clear that our participants were really missing that in-person connection. We are so happy to be able to provide that once again. It was an honor to once again be able to celebrate with the winners of the Diversity Impact Awards in-person,” said Lynn Cowart, Co-Owner and Chief Operations Officer of Talent Dimensions. This year’s Diversity Impact Awards Ceremony was also live-streamed for those who could not attend the in-person event. Five award categories were presented: Top 25 Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Top 10 Enterprise-Wide ERGs, Top 10 Diversity Action Groups, Executive Sponsors of the Year and the Impact Spotlight Award.

The Diversity Impact Awards were launched in 2020 as the next iteration of the ERG & Council Honors Award – making it the first and longest running and nationally recognized awards to honor the contributions and achievements of ERGs, BRGs, Diversity Councils and Affinity Networks. The Diversity Impact Awards are now supported by Talent Dimensions, the Global ERG Network and eePulse.

“The energy of having this group together for the first time in 3 years was contagious. These groups continue to raise the bar for excellence, and their work will have far reaching impacts for years to come,” offered Cile Johnson, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer of Talent Dimensions.

The 2022 Diversity Impact Awards leverages a data driven and scientifically validated model (The Impact Model™) developed by Dr. Theresa Welbourne, Senior Affiliate Research Scientist at the USC Marshall School of Business Center for Effective Organizations and CEO of eePulse, to ensure buy-in from key stakeholders and provide an expanded opportunity for learning. When organizations participate year-over-year in the Diversity Impact Awards, the data provides them with a benchmark among competing organizations and the ability to chart or measure their own progress over time.

Thank you to our partners at USC Marshall School Centers for Effective Organizations (CEO) for their partnership in the 2022 Global ERG Summit.

2021 Diversity Impact Award Winners

Greensboro, NC (September 17, 2021) —The Global ERG Network (previously the Association of ERGs & Councils, a practice group of Talent Dimensions) recognized the outstanding achievements of Employee Resource Groups, Diversity Councils and other DE&I initiatives at the 2021 Diversity Impact Awards™ ceremonies preceding USC Marshall Center for Effective Organizations 2021 ERG Leadership Summit.

“Even after making the difficult decision to once again make our annual conference a virtual event only, we are so honored to recognize and support the critical efforts of Diversity Councils, ERGs, BRGs and more.  These groups have navigated both the COVID-19 pandemic and all the challenges the world has faced in the last year,” said Lynn Cowart, Principle and Chief Operations Officer of Talent Dimensions. Through four live-streamed ceremonies leaders from the Top 25 Employee Resource Groups, Top 10 Enterprise-Wide ERGs, Top 10 Diversity Action Groups and the Executive Sponsors of the Year were presented with their honors.

The Diversity Impact Awards™ were launched in 2020 as the next iteration of the ERG & Council Honors Award™. The ERG & Council Honors Award™ was the first and longest running, nationally recognized award to honor the contributions and achievements of ERGs, BRGs and Diversity Councils. It was established in 2008 by the Association of ERGs & Councils, (now the Global ERG Network) a practice group of diversity and inclusion consulting and training firm PRISM International, Inc., a subsidiary of Talent Dimensions.

“We were inspired by the initiatives outlined in the many applications we received this year. They were all exceptional, but this incredible group really did stand out for their sacrifices and level of dedication to keeping people connected during the most trying of times,” offers Cile Johnson, Principle and Chief Business Officer of Talent Dimensions.

The 2021 Diversity Impact Awards™ leverages a data driven and scientifically validated model (The Impact Model™) developed by Dr. Theresa Welbourne, Senior Affiliate Research Scientist at the USC Marshall School of Business Center for Effective Organizations and CEO of eePulse, to ensure buy-in from key stakeholders and provide an expanded opportunity for learning. When organizations participate year-over-year in the Diversity Impact Awards, the data provides them a benchmark among competing organizations and the ability to chart or measure their own progress over time.

Thank you to our partners at USC Marshall School Centers for Effective Organizations (CEO) for their continued assistance in helping facilitate these important honors through the midst of COVID-19 and its unexpected difficulties.

We are both pleased and honored to announce the winners of and the rankings for the 2021 Diversity Impact Awards™.  Congratulations!

2020 Diversity Impact Award Recipients

Greensboro, NC (October, 2020) — The Association of ERGs & Councils (a practice group of PRISM International, Inc. and Talent Dimensions) recognized the outstanding achievements of Employee Resource Groups, Diversity Councils and other DE&I initiatives at the Diversity Impact Awards™ ceremonies during the USC Marshall Center for Effective Organizations 2020 ERG Leadership Summit Week:  A Virtual Event October 19 – October 24.

Each evening of the conference included award ceremonies honoring the Top 25 US Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Top 10 Enterprise-Wide ERGs, Top 10 Diversity Action and Executive Sponsor of the Year Recognition Awards.  “The virtual event didn’t dampen the spirit and excitement of the award winners as they celebrated the incredible accomplishments of their teams,” said Lynn Cowart, Principle and Chief Operations Officer at Talent Dimensions.

The Diversity Impact Awards™ was launched in 2020 and is the next iteration of the ERG & Council Honors Award™.  The ERG & Council Honors Award™ was the first, and until recently, the only annual national award that recognized and honored the outstanding contributions and achievements of ERGs, BRGs and Diversity Councils. It was established in 2008 by the Association of ERGs & Councils, a practice group of diversity and inclusion consulting and training firm, PRISM International, Inc.

The 2020 Diversity Impact Awards™ were reimagined to leverage a data-driven and scientifically-validated model developed by Dr. Theresa M. Welbourne, Will and Maggie Brooke Professor in Entrepreneurship at the University of Alabama and CEO of eePulse, to ensure buy-in from key stakeholders and drive greater learning.  The awards were segmented to create a level playing field for individual ERGs, enterprise-wide ERG programs and non-ERG Diversity initiatives.  For the second year, we are honoring the important work of Executive Sponsors.

“While we were excited to launch the new Diversity Impact Awards™ after almost a year of research and gaining input, launching a new awards structure during COVID-19 was challenging to say the least.  We considered taking a hiatus given what organizations were experiencing.  We quickly realized that this work was far too important and the individuals volunteering countless hours to create organizations where ALL people felt engaged, included and that they belong, must be recognized,” said Cile Johnson, Principle and Chief Business Officer at Talent Dimensions.
