Accessibility Statement for the Global ERG Network Website

The Global ERG Network is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all visitors. This is included in our design practices rather than a one-time effort or an afterthought. 

Our Commitment

We aim to adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as our benchmark for accessibility. These guidelines help make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of abilities.

Where We Are Now

  • Platform: Our website is built on WordPress using Elementor.
  • Design & Readability: We’ve selected fonts and brand colors with accessibility in mind. Our core colors are used in alignment with WCAG contrast guidelines. 
  • Alt Text for Images: All images on our site, including infographics and charts, have descriptive alternative text.
  • Keyboard & Assistive Technology Testing: While formal site-wide testing for keyboard-only navigation and screen reader compatibility has not yet been completed, it is on our roadmap as part of our broader accessibility initiative.
  • Accessibility Plugins: At this time, we do not use any third-party accessibility overlays or plugins beyond Elementor’s built-in functionality.

We acknowledge that some areas of our website may not yet be fully accessible. While we have taken steps to improve accessibility, this is an ongoing process. We are committed to identifying and addressing any accessibility barriers as we continue to evolve our digital presence.

Future Improvements

We are currently planning:

  • Full accessibility testing on the updated site
  • A more structured process for ongoing accessibility reviews
  • A feedback tracking process, potentially including an accessibility request form
